Our Story
Feng and Cheng University begins with a simple yet powerful belief: that education should be a bridge to human potential, not a barrier. Founded by Tom Feng, our journey is built upon a partnership as profound as the one in our name.
This belief challenges us to reimagine the very architecture of learning. We see a world where knowledge is the key to progress, yet traditional academic models often feel rigid and impersonal. We are a new community of scholars, innovators, and learners, united by a commitment to interdisciplinary, student-centered discovery.
Our name carries our founding story and our promise: Feng, the founder's family name, and Cheng, his wife's family name, represent a shared commitment to the future. It is a personal vow, drawn from their own journey, to build a legacy of empowerment. It is our vow to provide a transformative education, to be a dedicated partner in your intellectual journey, and to empower you with the wisdom and courage to shape tomorrow.

Our Founder’s Story
Our headmaster and founder, 冯建伟 (Feng Jian Wei)—better known as Tom, inspired by Tom and Jerry—is proof that perseverance turns challenges into strengths. Born on 11 February 1981, Tom once struggled in English so much that classmates nicknamed him “Sorry” for always replying, “Sorry, I don’t know.” Few could have imagined he would one day build an institution dedicated to unlocking human potential.
The name Feng and Cheng embodies the core partnership that makes this vision possible. Cheng represents his wife, whose steadfast partnership and shared belief in the power of education provided the foundation upon which this dream was built. In 2017, Tom laid the first stone of this journey, founding his first company against all odds. Friends doubted him, but his life philosophy—“Done what I say”—kept him moving forward. To Tom, words alone mean little; action, consistency, and results matter most.
Today, that same principle is the bedrock of Feng and Cheng University. It is a promise to students, partners, and our global community: we don’t just talk about building a better future through education—we make it happen, together.
